One of the prettier drives on this trip is Route 50 running across the State of Utah.
Appropriately named because you can run for 70 - 80 miles without seeing
anything but beautiful scenery.
Below is Sand mountain which was formed when the adjacent lakebed dried up years ago.
Now it is a recreation area for 4-wheelers.
One of several mountains we crossed traversing the state. While scenic,
elevations reached 7,000 feet and more with many 8% grades. Gave the
motorhome a good workout.
At the east end of Utah is the Great Basin NP. We stopped in Baker, UT to
visit the park headquarters only to discover caves very similar to the
ones in Virginia.
